Cedevita Olimpija announced that the club has brought tin Mangok Mathiang for the upcoming season.
The 27-year-old South Sudanese-Australian center played this past season in Turkey with Bahcesehir averaging 12.7 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.1 steals.
Mathiang went undrafted in 2017 but managed to find a spot on the Charlotte Hornets roster for a season during which he also played in the G League. His first European experience was in Italy with Vanoli Cremona in the 2018-19 season.
“I am very happy to be joining Cedevita Olimpija, a club with a big tradition and with loyal fans. I am looking forward to the next season, which will be very challenging for us. I can’t wait to get together with my teammates, get to work, and to introduce myself to the Ljubljana’s fans,” Mathiang said.
