MoraBanc Andorra strengthened its squad ahead of the 2020-21 editions of 7DAYS EuroCup and the ACB by adding Oriol Pauli on a three-year contract, the Spanish team announced on Monday.
The 26-year-old Spaniard forward spent the last six seasons with Herbalife Gran Canaria. As a member of the team based in Las Palmas debuted in the ACB at the age of 20. He previously competed in lower Spanish divisions with FC Barcelona B coming out of Barca’s youth academy.
Pauli opted for a new challenge starting the next chapter of his career. His move to Andorra will keep him in the ACB and also bring him back to EuroCup following his 62 appearances in the competition with Gran Canaria. He also played in 29 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague matches with his previous team.
His 2019-20 run was solely focused on the ACB though. He averaged 4.3 points per contest over 17 appearances prior to the hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic and returned with 4.8 points and 1.4 rebounds per game of the season-ending tournament.
