Joventut Badalona is trying to sign former All-EuroLeague center Ante Tomic according to numerous reports by Catalan media. Tomic is a free agent after parting ways with Barcelona earlier in offseason.
Per the most recent report by Mundo Deportivo, Badalona will be activating its plan to acquire Tomic after Gran Canaria matched the club’s offer for Jacob Wiley. The report also mentions that despite interest by EuroLeague clubs, Tomic’s priority for his next career destination is to stay in Catalonia.
Tomic has been a Catalonia resident since 2012 when he signed his first contract with Barcelona. Over his eight-year stint with the Blaugrana, the Croatian veteran big man won the 2014 Spanish ACB League plus three (2013, 2018, 2019) Copa del Rey titles.
