Lahaou Konate signed a four-year contract with Metropolitans 92 after one season in Spain with Iberostar Tenerife, the French team announced on Saturday evening.
Konate, 28, focused his career solely in France before moving to Spain. One season later he is back in his native country inking a multiyear deal.
The solid defender coming off the 2020 FIBA Intercontinental Cup will also return to the 7DAYS EuroCup. Previous experience of 10 games was generated in 2015-16 through Le Mans.
Last year, Konate threw in 4.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per Basketball Champions League match, 2.2 points per ACB contest.
Previous additions for the French outlet feature Tomer Ginat, and Brandon Brown, while Rob Gray and captain David Michineau were re-signed.
