Due to a small health problem, A.J. Slaughter would not be able to attend Herbalife Gran Canaria practices until the end of September and both sides opted to terminate their contract by mutual agreement, the Spanish side announced on Tuesday. The 32-year-old American-Polish guard joined the team based in Las Palmas only a couple of weeks ago.
Gran Canaria already reinforced its squad with several summer additions the likes of Andrew Albicy, Amedeo Della Valle, Frankie Ferrari, and Jacob Wiley will look for a suitable replacement fitting in newly-appointed head coach Porfirio Fisac’s plan for the next season.
Slaughter last played for Coosur Real Betis debuting in the ACB during the 2019-20 season. His professional run has also led him to France, Turkey, Greece, Belgium, and Italy.
