AS Monaco signed Wesley Saunders, the French club announced on Thursday.

“I am really happy to come and play for Monaco. I can’t wait to start in my new team,” he noted upon completing his move, “I already know J. J. O’Brien from the Utah Jazz and Damien Inglis from the Westchester Knicks.”

The Harvard alum spent his last two seasons in Italy with Vanoli Cremona. He previously tipped off his European run in Finland with Kataja landing his services for the 2017-18 season. The 27-year-old swingman also went through two G League campaigns after turning pro in 2015.

Signing with the French outlet prompts him to his 7DAYS EuroCup debut. So far, his European club competition experience stems from 2017-18 in the Basketball Champions League and FIBA Europe Cup as a member of Kataja.

In 2019-20, Saunders tallied 14.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per LBA Serie A match up to the early conclusion of the season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
