Carlos Suarez of Unicaja Malaga was diagnosed with a tear in the calf of his left leg which will keep him out of action for the next three to four weeks.
With the start of the Liga Endesa scheduled for the 18th of September, Suarez is expected to miss the tip-off of the new season, but he is expected to be fit for the start of the 7Days EuroCup season with Unicaja once more aiming for the trophy.
The rest of the team continues training and will have their first pre-season game on Wednesday against Coosur Real Betis in Seville.
