AS Monaco signed French center Mathias Lessort for the 2020-2021 season, the French club announced.
Lessort, 24, spent the previous season with Bayern Munich. He averaged 3.8 points and 2.2 rebounds in 11:17 minutes in EuroLeague before the competition was canceled and had 6.5 points plus 3.9 rebounds in 15:49 minutes in the German BBL.
The Euroleague has been a very enriching experience. Why not one day return to this competition with AS Monaco,” Lessort said via Monaco. He and his team will be looking to make the EuroLeague by winning the EuroCup.
By signing with Monaco, Lessort returns to France for the first time since his 2016-2017 stint with Nanterre.
