Promitheas launched the 2020-21 campaign without Mo Faye, but the Senegalese forward finally completed the trip to Greece and reported to the Patras team following a significant delay due to travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Faye, 35, back in July penned a deal for a third stint with the Greek club, but since got stuck in his home country. A few months later, he was ultimately cleared to travel. He is already practicing aiming to be ready for the upcoming 7DAYS EuroCup and domestic league games.
His delayed arrival is expected to knock out one foreign player from Makis Giatras’ squad. Delroy James or Jehyve Floyd are the most likely to be surplus to requirements, but the final decision regarding the roster adjustment is still pending.
