Pau Ribas and Ante Tomic combined their forces to push Joventut Badalona to an 84 – 77 win over JL Bourg en Bresse on the road. The Catalan side led up to 21 points (51 – 72) early in the fourth period.
Tomic scored 18 points and grabbed a game-high seven rebounds in 23:20 minutes while Ribas added 16 points and a game-best eight assists to pace Badalona’s offense overall. Vladimir Brodziansky added 14 points plus five rebounds and Simon Brigander scored 12 and got five boards as well.
Danilo Andjusic (18 points, six rebounds) and Thomas Scrubb (15 points) stood out for the French side.
This was the only Group A game that took place Wednesday (7/10). In the rest of the matches, Partizan Belgrade bounced back from an ABA League upset by overpowering Venezia and Unics Kazan edged Bahcesehir thanks to a game-winner by Jamar Smith.
