Six players scored in double figures for Gran Canaria as the team beat Nanterre 94 – 82 in Las Palmas to double its EuroCup victories. The hosts turned a balanced affair to their show by scoring 24 points in six minutes of the fourth period to turn 69 – 68 into 92 – 74.
Amedeo Della Valle led a balanced Gran Canaria offense with 15 points. Matthew Costello added 14 points and 11 rebounds, John Shurna had 14 points plus eight boards and Stan Okoye scored 13. Franco Ferrari (12 points, six assists) and Jacob Wiley (10 points, eight rebounds) completed the winning puzzle for the Spanish squad.
Trento crushed Promitheas Patras in Tuesday’s game of Group D. The match between Cedevita Olimpija and Bursaspor didn’t take place since the Slovenian team is quarantined.
