Ruling according to the special COVID-19 regulations implemented, the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Judge awarded the 20-0 win to Frutti Extra Bursaspor over Cedevita Olimpija. The team based in Ljubljana remained in quarantine due to a positive coronavirus case, therefore was unable to compete in the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season Round 2 contest canceled earlier this week.
Per Euroleague Basketball: “The Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Judge has declared that Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana loses by the result of zero to twenty (0-20) the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season Round 2 game between against Frutti Extra Bursaspor, which was scheduled to be played on October 7.
The Disciplinary Judge has followed the 2020–21 Euroleague Basketball Special Regulations due to COVID-19 after Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana entire team had to remain in quarantine due to the requirement of the National Institute of Public Health of Slovenia after one of its players had tested positive for COVID-19.”
