An epic double-double performance by Alan Williams paced Lokomotiv to victory against Lietkabelis in Round 3 of 7DAYS EuroCup, earning him this week’s honors.

Per EuroCup:

At the heart of the biggest team scoring performance of the season so far was one of the best individual rebounding exploits in recent years. Alan Williams amassed a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds to lead Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar’s 76-105 victory over host Lietkabelis Panevezys and secure the MVP of the Week honor.

Williams finished with a performance index rating of 33. His 17 rebounds were a new Lokomotiv record and matched the best total in the EuroCup since 2017.

Another center, veteran Ante Tomic of Joventut Badalona, followed with a PIR of 31 based on his 21 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in a 72-91 road win at Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul. Next came Frutti Extra Bursaspor forward Metin Turen, who debuted this season with 20 points for a PIR of 30 in his team’s 84-93 home loss to Promitheas Patras. Tied for the fourth-best performances of the week were UNICS Kazan big man Jordan Morgan and ratiopharm Ulm forward Aric Holman. Morgan had 22 points and 8 rebounds in a 93-70 victory over Partizan NIS Belgrade. Holman’s 20 points on perfect shooting and 5 assists went for naught in Ulm’s 80-86 home loss to Boulogne Metropolitans 92.
