Ibon Navarro returned a positive result in a coronavirus test he underwent Thursday, which was confirmed via a second test Friday, MoraBanc Andorra announced.
The 44-year-old head coach of the 7DAYS EuroCup and ACB club was found positive in Bilbao prior to the Spanish League’s decision to postpone the scheduled road game versus RETAbet Bilbao. He previously presented some COVID-19 symptoms.
Navarro has since been isolated at home following guidelines implemented by health authorities.
The rest of the traveling team members tested negative. Sunday’s ACB match opposite Casademont Zaragoza will take place if all tests planned for Saturday again produce negative results.
