Three 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season Round 6 matchups were suspended due to coronavirus cases registered by the visiting sides.
Per the press release: “Euroleague Basketball has announced the following schedule changes for Round 6 of the 2020-21 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season.
- Germani Brescia vs. Buducnost Voli Podgorica, originally scheduled to be played on Tuesday, November 3, has been suspended. Buducnost requested the suspension of the game due to multiple COVID-19 positive cases that do not allow the team to have a minimum eight players on the Authorisation List fit to play.
- Virtus Segafredo Bologna vs. Lietkabelis Panevezys, originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday, November 4, has been suspended. Lietkabelis requested the suspension of the game due to multiple COVID-19 positive cases that do not allow the team to have a minimum eight players on the Authorisation List fit to play.
- AS Monaco vs. Morabanc Andorra, originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday, November 4, has been suspended. Andorra requested the suspension of the game due to local legislation imposing quarantine measures on the team, which leaves it without the minimum eight players on the Authorisation List fit to play.
Following the modification of the Special Regulations due to COVID-19, approved by the ECA Shareholders Executive Board, each game can be rescheduled up to three times if there are available dates. Euroleague Basketball will coordinate with all teams the best options to reschedule their games. Alternative dates will be announced on official Euroleague Basketball platforms once confirmed.”
UPDATE: EuroCup later announced that the game between Partizan Belgrade and Joventut Badalona has also been officially suspended due to multiple coronavirus cases on the Spanish team.
