A new career-best in EuroCup by Milos Teodosic was enough to keep Virtus Segafredo Bologna undefeated in Russia, as they prevailed over Lokomotiv Kuban with an 89-83 victory on Wednesday evening to make its way to the Top 16.
Teodosic tapped 29 points and 5 assists, a game-high performance as the Italian side exceeded its streak to six games and achieved their second victory of the season against Lokomotiv.
Amadeo Tessitori filled the statsheet with 15 points, 7 rebounds and three steals, Alessandro Pajola had 12 points and six rebounds and Kyle Weems posted 10 points.
The Russian side counted a four-game streak prior to the game and fall to a 5-2 record, despite a huge effort by Alan Williams who recorded a double-double with 13 points and 18 boards, entering the Top 10 for most rebounds tapped in a single game in the competition’s history. Kevin Hervey had a team-high performance with 21 points and Jordan Crawford added 15 points, while Mantas Kalnietis had a productive evening with 12 points and 11 assists.
The other two games scheduled for Round 7 in Group C, MoraBanc Andorra vs. Telenet Giants Antwerp and Lietkabelis Panevezys vs. AS Monaco have been postponed and will be rescheduled to a later date.
