Germani Brescia beat Mornar Bar 72 – 70 to stay alive in the qualification battle in EuroCup Group C. Christian Burns hit the game-winning basket for the Italian side with 11 second to left and then Isaiah Whitehead missed the 3-pointer that could hand Mornar Bar the victory.
Kenny Cherry led Brescia with 20 points while Dusan Ristic had 15 points and six rebounds. Jacob Pullen (20 points), Whitehead (14 points) and Kenny Gabriel (13 points, 11 rebounds) stood out for Mornar Bar.
Earlier on Wednesday, Unicaja Malaga routed Buducnost 90 – 66 on the road behind the efforts of Deon Thompson (15 points), Dario Brizuela (15 points) and Francisc Alonso (15 points). Nikola Ivanovic had 20 points for the hosts.
