Herbalife Gran Canaria needed a win and got it on the road over Dolomiti Energia Trento. Behind 18 points by AJ Slaughter and an all-team effort, Gran Canaria got the 67-56 win which pushed them to an 8-2 record and the top spot of Group D.
Javier Beiran added 13 points for the winners, who knew that they had to get the win in order to secure their spot, after Cedevita’s win.
Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana destroyed short-handed Promitheas Patras also on the road with the final score being 105-69. Jaka Blazic led the charge with 18 points, however Promitheas which didn’t have any qualification chance used once more five players from the junior team.
The game Frutti Extra Bursaspor vs. Nanterre 92 was suspended due to COVID-19 protocols, but it will not change anything in the final standings of Group D.
