Behind a stellar game of Isaiah Whitehead and two big free throws by Jacob Pullen, Mornar Bar got the road win in their first game of Group H of the EuroCup Top16, while UNICS Kazan also prevailed on the road in a much easier way.
Mornar Bar got the 102-100 win over Gran Canaria with Pullen scoring two free throws at the buzzer after getting the rebound from his blocked shot and getting fouled by Andrew Albicy.
He finished the game with 14 points, while Whitehead scored in total 28 points. AJ Slaughter with 23 points was the top scorer of GranCa which trailed for most of the game.
The story was quite different in Andorra with UNICS Kazan getting the 73-66 win over the home team after a stellar third period and a ten-point lead.
Isiah Canaan led a team effort with 16 points, while David Jelinek had 18 points for the losing side.
