Not only did AS Monaco advance to the EuroCup playoffs but also clinched homecourt advantage for the quarterfinals.
The Monegasque team beat Nanterre 92 98 – 94 to get the quarterfinals ticket and then “locked” the first place in Group E following Unicaja Malaga’s 90 – 77 away win over fellow Spanish side Joventut Badalona.
Dee Bost delivered 22 points and five assists for Monaco while Rob Gray added 19 points. Marcos Knight pitched in 19 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
For Nanterre, that dropped to 2-3, Isaia Cordinier scored 23 points and Alpha Kaba had 17 points and six rebounds.
Badalona could’ve joined Monaco in the playoffs tonight but a previously winless Malaga was too much for them offensively. Jaime Fernandez (22 points, 10 assists) and Adam Waczynski (22 points) did most of the damage for the winning side.
Ferran Bassas had 21 points for Joventut.
