Unics Kazan routed Morabanc Andorra 85 – 63 to claim its fifth in in five games of the EuroCup Top 16 and secure the top spot in Group H. The Russian team and Virtus Bologna are the only undefeated team in this stage of the competition.
Okaro White had 18 points plus seven rebounds, Jamar Smith scored 14, John Brown contributed 13 points and Isaiah Canaan finished with 12 points for Unics that led for almost the entire game and was particularly dominant (29 – 14 in the last period).
Haukur Paulson (18 points) was the only Andorra player in double figures. Andorra is tied with Gran Canaria at the second place with a 2-3 record and one of the two teams will grab the last quarterfinals ticket from Group H.
Gran Canaria defeated Mornar Bar 85 – 81 on the road in a “must-win” battle behind 22 points by AJ Slaughter.
