Buducnost Voli needed to beat Cedevita Olimpija by four points or more to advance to the EuroCup playoffs and accomplished this and more by taking a win 79 – 66 and the ticket to the next stage with it. The Montenegrin team will face AS Monaco in the quarterfinals.

A loss by fewer than four points would be enough for Cedevita, but the Slovenian side was overwhelmed 21 – 9 in the fourth quarter and was eliminated after suffering two losses in the last two games of the Top 16.

Melvin Ejim led Buducnost’s efforts overall with 20 points and seven rebounds. Nikola Ivanovic contributed 15 points, Danilo Nikolic had a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds while Amedeo Della Valle scored 11 points, eight of them in the last period.

Jaka Blazic (18 points, 1-7 3-pointers), Jarrod Jones (12 points, six rebounds) and Kendrick Perry (11 points, five assists) scored in double figures from Cedevita.

In the meantime, Virtus Bologna extended its 16-0 undefeated streak by routing Bourg en Bresse 83 – 62 at home.
