Partizan has officially appointed Zoran Savic as its sports director, the club announced on Tuesday, confirming prior reports.
Savic, 54, has joined the Serbian club that aims to turn a new page after a challenging season, bringing in plenty of experience in management. After he ended his playing career, Savic quickly took on duties in Fortitudo Bologna, then later on served as the general manager for Barcelona between 2005 and 2008.
A three-time EuroLeague champion with Split (1990), Barcelona (1991, Top Scorer), and Virtus (1998, Final Four MVP), Savic will cover up the vacancy Nikola Loncar left in early February.
