Virtus Segafredo Bologna is the first semifinalist for the 2020-21 7DAYS EuroCup season, after sweeping Joventut Badalona on the road 84-78 in the second game of their best-of-three series.
The Italian side held off Joventut’s fourth-quarter comeback to clinch its first EuroCup semifinals qualification in club history, as Milos Teodosic emerged to save the day for Virtus, adding up a total of 17 points and 6 assists.
A new career-high with 26 points by Ferran Bassas couldn’t save the Spanish team in crunch time, as they end their season with a 12-6 overall record.
Adding up to Teodosic’s efforts, Vince Hunter also posted 18 points and Kyle Weems also had 18, as Virtus remains undefeated after 18 games this season.
