Gran Canaria has signed center Ilimane Diop to a two-year deal, the team announced Saturday, confirming prior reports.
Diop, 26, began his playing career with the youth teams of Baskonia in 2011 and has remained in the club since, while he gained experience on loan to Alava and Araberri between 2011 and 2013. In 2013, he made his professional debut with the club and has since won the Liga Endesa title in 2020.
Diop averaged 4.3 points, 1.7 rebounds both in the domestic league and the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague this past season.
