Lokomotiv Kuban tabs Johnathan Motley

Johnathan Motley has signed with Lokomotiv Kuban, the team announced Tuesday. Also, Zahar Vedischev returned to the team based in Krasnodar after a one-year NCAA stint.

Motley, 26, last played in South Korea averaging 20.7 points per game with the Incheon ET Land Elephants. The former Baylor standout had recorded 43 NBA appearances between the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers prior to playing overseas. The next season will be his first in Europe.

Vedischev, 21, spent the previous season at Utah State registering 2.2 points per game. He is back in Loko three years after his pro debut in the VTB United League.

The Russian team previously inked Stanton Kidd, Darius Thompson, Greg Whittington, and Vladislav Trushkin. Also extended Ivan Paunic for the next season in the 7DAYS EuroCup.
