Bandja Sy has signed a two-year contract to join Metropolitans 92, the team announced Wednesday.
Sy, 31, is heading towards his fourth straight 7DAYS EuroCup season and sixth overall in his career. His previous stints include the past two seasons with MoraBanc Andorra, Partizan NIS in 2018-19, and Nancy in 2014-15 and 2015-16. He logged 4.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per 2020-21 match.
The experienced forward, former New Mexico State standout, will also return to France’s Jeep Elite Pro A for the first time in four years. Following his 2013 debut as a member of Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez, he went on to SLUC Nancy and LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne.
He became the fourth summer addition following Will Cummings, Keith Hornsby, and Steeve Ho You Fat.
In another EuroCup move, Cedevita Olimpija penned young power forward Blaz Habot to a four-year contract.
