Yam Madar will move to ratiopharm Ulm after his NBA Summer League stint attached to the Boston Celtics, if he does not secure a contract from the NBA team, per The Sports Rabbi’s Josh Halickman and Yakov Meir of Israel HaYom newspaper.
Madar, 20, was selected by the Celtics with the 47th pick of the 2020 draft. He is currently with the Celtics in Las Vegas. His 4.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per Summer League contest painted the picture over three appearances before suffering a groin injury.
Ulm recently picked up Cristiano Felicio coming off six years at the Chicago Bulls. The potential addition of Madar would further strengthen its squad ahead of the 2021-22 editions of 7DAYS EuroCup and easyCredit BBL but is directly connected to the decision of Boston.
The Israeli guard logged 17.1 points, 5.2 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per match in Israel’s Winner League last season, and still has one year left on his contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv.
