After parting way with Panathinaikos, Yogi Ferrell has found an agreement with Cedevita Olimpija and will continue the season in 7DAYS EuroCup.
“We are happy that Yogi Ferrell signed a contract with us. We have been looking for a game organizer for a long time. There are very few options on the market, and Yogi immediately caught our eye. We talked for a long time, but in the end, we came to an agreement to come to Ljubljana and help each other,” coach Jurica Golemac said and added.
“We’re sure we brought in a quality game organizer who doesn’t have much experience playing in Europe and has a good career in the NBA League behind him. He will definitely need time to get to know the team. He is a winner by nature, likes to play defense and likes to win. I’m sure it will take a lot less time to adjust than some might think. I emphasize, we are very happy that he landed in Cedevita Olimpija.”
Ferrell had a limited role with Panathinaikos in the first part of the 2021-22 season and that was the main reason he decided to part ways with the Greens. He played in five Euroleague games, averaging eight minutes on the court.
Before moving to Europe for the first time, Ferrell played in the NBA for Brooklyn, Dallas, Sacramento, Cleveland, and the Clippers.
