Virtus Bologna returned from the break with a statement 104-101 victory against Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana on the road. After a neck-to-neck battle all the way through the fourth quarter, back-to-back threes helped the Italian side pull away with the win.
Newcomer Yogi Ferrell made a great first impression in his EuroCup debut, with 24 points and 11 assists for a PIR of 38, all career-highs in his European run, though his efforts fell short for Cedevita that has now lost its fourth straight game.
Marco Bellinelli poured 21 points for Sergio Scariolo’s squad, Milos Teodosic added 19 points and 8 assists and Mam Jaiteh followed with 17 points.
Alen Omic and Edo Muric had 18 points apiece for the hosts, Jaka Blazic tapped 15 and Jacob Pullen had 10.
After a tough battle in the first half, Buducnost got the job done to stun Promitheas 89-60 on the road. Buducnost enjoyed a 25-8 run in the third period to take the reigns of the game and pick up its second consecutive victory.
D.J. Seeley posted a new career-high with 29 points with 5 out of 8 shots from the three-point line for a PIR of 30, while it was also a career-high night for Zoran Nikolic who tapped a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Justin Cobbs added 17 points to the efforts of the short-staffed visitors.
Kendrick Ray tapped 22 points to lead Promitheas and Jerai Grant followed with 10 points and 5 rebounds.
Jaron Blossomgame and ratiopharm Ulm got the job done against Gran Canaria on the road, to get back to wins. Blossomgame had a game-high performance with 25 points and six rebounds, Semaj Christon tapped 18 and Sindarius Thornwell followed with 17 points.
AJ Slaughter led the way for Gran Canaria with 18 points, Dylan Ennis dropped 17 and Chris Kramer had 15.
Earlier in Round 6, Mike Tobey helped Valencia overcome Umana Reyer Venice on the road.
