Virtus Bologna had an easy task against Promitheas Patras and the Italians delivered. The final score was 91-72 with Kyle Weems leading the way with 18 points against a Greek team that couldn’t do much on the road.
Jerai Grant was the top scorer of the losing side with 15 points and the bottom line is that we have now a three-way tie on the top of Group B standings.
However, the result which produced the three-way tie was the 83-76 road win of Gran Canaria over Buducnost. The Spanish side led almost from wire to wire with Miquel Salvo and Nicolas Brussino scoring 15 points each, while the duo of John Shurna and Dylan Ennis also had 14 points each.
The hosts couldn’t get into sticking distance with Justin Cobbs trying his best and scoring 18 points.
Reyer Venecia got the 77-70 home win over Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana. Mitchell Watt scored 17 points and the local duo of Stefano Tonut and Michele Vitali added 16 points each. Cedevita tried to turn things around in the third, trailing just by three (55-52), but ultimately couldn’t complete the comeback.
Jakob Pullen scored 14 points for the losing side, while Jaka Blazic had a rare double-double for a guard with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
On Tuesday, Ulm got a solid win over Bourg en Bresse (96-86). The game between Valencia and Bursaspor was postponed to the 6th of January.
