Jaka Blazic powers Cedevita to win over Buducnost

Jaka Blazic led an impressive team effort for Cedevita Olimpija as the squad cruised to a 92-78 victory over Buducnost VOLI Podgorica to win their third straight game in 7DAYS EuroCup.

Blazic was the leading scorer for Jurica Golemac’s squad with 23 points, to go along with 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Alen Omic was also among the top contributors for Cedevita with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Yogi Ferrell left the game with 18.

Cedevita moves up to a 6-7 record in Group B with a rescheduled game against Promitheas yet to play on Friday.

Justin Cobbs tapped 21 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds for Buducnost, while Petar Popovic and Willie Reed shared 12 points apiece. The Montenegrin side remains third after dropping to 8-6.

Klemen Prepelic fired five three-pointers to lift Valencia to an 88-77 victory over JL Bourg on the road to overtake Gran Canaria on top of Group B standings.

Prepelic posted a total of 18 points for Joan Penarroya’s squad, Xabi Lopez-Arostegui followed with 17 points and Jaime Pradilla tapped 15 points and 4 rebounds.

Bourg led by 63-58 in the third quarter though Prepelic’s back-to-back three-pointer gave the visiting side the lead down the final stretch and helped them seal the victory.

Rasheed Sulaimon posted 17 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds for the French side, while Jacorey Williams and Axel Julien picked up 10 points apiece.

Jerai Grant posted a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds and Promitheas completed a sweep against ratiopharm Ulm with a 79-68 victory at home. Dimitris Agravanis followed with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists for last-place Promitheas which now improved to a 4-9 record in Group B.

Semaj Christon paced sixth-placed Ulm with 17 points, Fedor Zugic had 14 points, while Philipp Herkenhoff and Jaron Blossomgame posted 13 points apiece.
