Valencia Basket guard Martin Hermannsson underwent surgery Monday to repair the completely torn ACL in his left knee which he suffered in the Spanish Liga Endesa playoffs Game 3 against Bitci Baskonia.
His surgery has been carried out successfully by Dr. Ignacio Munoz, head of medical services of the Spanish club, Valencia informed.
There’s still no timetable for the Icelandic guard’s return, though the recovery process for this kind of injury usually ranges from six to nine months.
Hermannsson finished the 2021-22 campaign, his second with Valencia, with an average of 10.6 points, 3.8 assists and 1.7 rebounds in 27 games in Spain and posted 8.6 points on 44% three-point shooting on average per EuroCup contest.
