Porfi Fisac is no longer the head coach of Herbalife Gran Canaria, the Spanish club announced Sunday.
57-year-old Fisac’s contract with GranCa is concluded at the end of June and the club decided not to pursue a contract extension for the Spanish coach.
Fisac first joined GranCa in July 2020, replacing Fotis Katsikaris on the bench. With him at the helm, Gran Canaria qualified for the Liga Endesa Playoffs for two consecutive years and reached the semifinals of the 7DAYS EuroCup in the 2020-21 season and the quarterfinals this past one.
He has served as a head coach in multiple Spanish clubs, including Fuenlabrada, Zaragoza, Gipuzkoa, as well as the Senegalese national team between 2016 and 2017.
