Ahmet Duverioglu joins Bursaspor

Frutti Extra Bursaspor announced the addition of Ahmet Duverioglu on Tuesday.

Duverioglu, 29, is coming off six years as a member of Fenerbahce. The lengthy stint at the team based in Istanbul was highlighted by the 2017 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague championship and also included three league championships at the domestic level.

In a reduced role over the 2021-22 season, he produced 3.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 0.2 blocks, 0.2 steals, and 0.1 assists per EuroLeague game. Packing 6.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks per contest painted the picture of his performances in Turkey’s BSL up to the championship.

From seven straight campaigns in EuroLeague between Anadolu Efes in 2015-16 and Fener the rest of the way, the experienced center is now set to debut in the 7DAYS EuroCup.

Meanwhile, the fellow Turkish team participating in the 2022-23 edition of EuroCup, Turk Telekom officially picked up Erkan Yilmaz Tuesday. The Turkish small forward spent the last season playing for Bahcesehir Koleji.

On Sunday, Andrew Albicy inked a three-year contract extension with Gran Canaria. Committing until the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, the French point guard set himself up for the third EuroCup run with the team based in Las Palmas and seventh overall in his career.

In other EuroCup news, youngster Eyal Harel was promoted to the senior squad of Hapoel SP Tel Aviv on a three-year contract, the team announced Tuesday. Tomer Ginat penned a five-year contract to return to the Israeli side Monday.
