Hapoel SP Tel Aviv gained 7DAYS EuroCup experience in the form of Xavier Munford. The experienced point guard penned a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.
Munford, 30, last played for NBL’s South East Melbourne Phoenix and previously logged ten appearances in EuroCup playing for Frutti Extra Bursaspor in 2020-21. His career additionally includes 24 games played in the NBA split between the Milwaukee Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies, and five appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague as a member of FC Barcelona. Gearing up to debut in the second-tier club continental competition of Euroleague Basketball, the Tel Aviv outfit completed the additions of Travis Warech and Tomer Ginar earlier in the offseason, while JP Tokoto, Gil Benny, Lotan Amsalam, Bar Timor, Adam Raz, Idan Zalmanson, and J’Covan Brown are also in the projected 2022-23 roster.
After adding D. J. Funderburk, Arnoldas Kulboka, and Vassilis Mouratos, Greek club Promitheas signed Anthony Cowan Jr. to a two-year contract, the team announced Tuesday. The incoming floor general featured in the G League playing for the Memphis Hustle in 2020-21 and landed in Greece for Aris in 2021-22. The former Maryland standout set himself up for his first experience in European club continental competitions.
Also, Buducnost VOLI re-signed veteran power forward Marko Jagodic-Kuridza for one more season. Earlier in the offseason, the Montenegrin side secured the services of Kenan Reynolds, Kenan Kamenjas, Cameron Reynolds, Phil Booth, and Trae Bell-Haynes. From the 2021-22 squad, besides Jagodic-Kuridza, Edin Atic, Igor Drobnjak, and Petar Popovic are also coming back.
