After a big season in Bilbao, Damien Inglis will have the chance to compete in Spain and also in the EuroCup with Gran Canaria.

Per the press release: “Damien Inglis (French Guiana, 1995) will be a Gran Canaria player next season.

Inglis lands in Gran Canaria from Surne Bilbao Basket, a team he joined in November with the season having already started. He averaged, in 24 games, a total of 11.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists.

Before his first experience in Spain, the 2.06-meter-tall power forward born in Cayenne had extensive professional experience, including an NBA adventure.

In June 2014, he was selected in the 31st spot of the NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. He went on to play 20 games for the Wisconsin franchise, but his American tour was marred by bad luck with injuries.

In 2017 he returned to Europe, a continent where he has played for Orlandina Basket, Strasbourg IG, Limoges and Monaco Basket, being a member of the 20-21 7Days EuroCup champion team that eliminated Gran Canaria in the semifinals.

After standing out in Bilbao for his talent and dedication, he arrives on the island to put himself under the command of Jaka Lakovic”.
