A couple of new players for Slask Wroclaw as Artsiom Parakhouski and Conor Morgan both inked contracts for the next season.
Out of the two big men added to the 2022-23 squad heading to the 7DAYS EuroCup and Poland’s domestic competitions, the Belarusian center personally carries in 62 appearances in EuroCup between MoraBanc Andorra, Partizan NIS, UNICS, Hapoel Jerusalem, and VEF Riga. He is also a veteran of 82 games played in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, seven in the Basketball Champions League, and ten in the FIBA Europe Cup.
Morgan, 28, was the latest confirmed newcomer for the Poland champions and will compete in EuroCup for the fourth year in a row in succession to the stints at Andorra and Joventut. Earlier arrivals were Justin Bibbs, Daniel Golebiowski, Jeremiah Martin. and Jakub Niziol. Players projected to come back are Maciej Bender, Aleksander Dziewa, Jakub Karolak, Lukasz Kolenda, Ivan Ramljak, and Szymon Tomczak.
Adding depth to the quickly-building squad, the London Lions picked up 29-year-old guard Aaron Best. Reuniting with new head coach Ryan Schmidt, the former Ryerson standout comes in following Sam Dekker, Bradley Kaboza, Kostas Koufos, Luke Nelson, Tarik Phillip, Kareem Queeley, Ovie Soko, Mo Soluade, Josh Sharma, and Tomislav Zubcic.
Elsewhere, Dolomiti Energia Trento penned 23-year-old forward/center Matthias Tass to a two-year contract intending to loan him out for the next season. Capped at the senior level and all junior levels with Estonia, the newcomer spent the last four years playing NCAA basketball at St. Mary’s.
