Euroleague Basketball has announced the disciplinary sanction for the incident in Round 14 of the 7-day EuroCup regarding Tyrique Jones.
“Tyrique Jones, of Turk Telekom Ankara, has been sanctioned with a one-game suspension due to physical aggression towards another individual, on occasion of its team’s away game against Dolomiti Energia Trento under Article 27.1.a) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code” it was stated on the competition website.
The entire incident occurred in the second quarter when Jones struck Trent Lockett. Jones received a disqualifying foul, while Lockett got two technical fouls. Both athletes were ejected from the game.
