After leaving Baskonia to join Reyer Venice last summer, Jayson Granger won’t continue with Neven Spahija’s team, as he publicly announced on his Instagram profile. “Season number 17 is over. I would have liked very much to stay one more year with all of you but in the end it wasn’t my decision”, he said.

The Uruguayan 33-year-old, who played under the Croatian head coach in last year’s EuroLeague as well, averaged 10.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game, coming all the way to the 7DAYS EuroCup Eightfinals against Hapoel Tel Aviv.

“I’m sure that I have given my best in all the games of the season, without missing a single one, even while injured. It has been a pleasure to be able to play at Palasport and be part of Reyer. Thank you very much fans for all your love. See y’all!”, he went on saying after playing his first-ever season in Italy.
