Paris Basketball debuted in the EuroCup and made it to the quarterfinals. The future looks bright for the team from the French capital, but it seems that the roster will be severely changed during the summer.
As officially announced, talented swingman Juhan Begarin joined Nanterre, while Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said Ismael Kamagate is expected to be in the NBA for the next season.
Both players spent the last four seasons with Paris, starting their professional careers with the club. Begarin was picked by the Boston Celtics in the 2021 NBA draft as a 45th overall pick, while Kamagate got chosen by Detroit Pistons a year later as the pick No. 46 but got traded to Denver.
Begarin had 12,6 points in EuroCup and 11,1 in the Betclic Elite and established himself as one of the team’s most important players, but he won’t continue with the Paris, as Nanterre confirmed the 20-year-old signed for two seasons.
“Juhann is a big prospect who has already demonstrated the full extent of his talent,” described his future coach Pascal Donnadieu. “We’re going to take him to the next level. We do not set limits with Juhann.”

As for Kamagate, Nuggets head coach Malone said he expects him to soon be with the Colorado team, as per NBA Extra.
“Ismael should be with us this summer and next season,” Malone said.
The 22-year-old center had a great season with Paris, averaging 9,6 points at 75% shooting and 7,9 rebounds in 54 games between the French League and EuroCup.
