Vassilis Spanoulis finished his first season as a coach with Peristeri BC finishing third in the Greek League, after a sweep in the 3rd place series against PAOK.
The Athenian team got the 73-51 win in Game 3 at home, after winning Game 1 (71-65) also at home and Game 2 in Thessaloniki (81-64).
Sylvain Francisco with 16 points and Miro Bilan with 11 were the top scorers for the winners in Game 3, completing both a solid season, while PAOK got 16 points by Yannick Franke and 12 by Jaylen Hands, who also had remarkable year.
The news, however, comes from Peristeri’s ambitions. The club which competed this year in the Basketball Champions League without remarkable results, has already pre-registered for next season’s EuroCup and it remains to be seen in which competition they will participate for the 2023-24 season.
