Prometey went really close to a Cinderella story in last year’s 7DAYS EuroCup, being eliminated only in the semifinals against the then-runner-up Turk Telekom Ankara, and now the Ukrainian club wants to go back at it in 2023-24.
After announcing the additions of Marcus Keene, Tai Odiase, and Jehyve Floyd, the 2023 Latvian-Estonian League champions have announced the extension of Caleb Agada, set to stay in the 7DAYS EuroCup at least until the end of the next year.
In his first-ever season in the European competition, the 28-year-old forward, a member of the Nigerian national team, put up 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. Before moving to Ukraine, he wore the jersey of the Hamilton Honey Badgers in Canada.

Henry Ellenson in Japan, Hapoel Tel Aviv extends Idan Zalmanson
Joventut Badalona has decided to part ways with Henry Ellenson, who is moving to Japan to join the Ibaraki Robots, as announced by his agent Misko Raznatovic.
In the 2022-23 season, the 26-year-old American center put up 9.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game with the black-and-green team in his first-ever EuroCup campaign, shooting 62.0% from two and 80.0% at the line.
Another center will stay in the European competition, as Idan Zalmanson has extended his contract with Hapoel Vegan Friendly Tel Aviv. The former Maccabi Tel Aviv player, 28, averaged 4.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game in last year’s 7DAYS EuroCup, playing 16 games off the bench.
Fletcher Magee checks in for Buducnost
Coming out of a three-year loan assignment at SC Derby, sharpshooter Fletcher Magee finally fit into the squad of Buducnost VOLI. The Wofford product actually joined Buducnost in 2020 but was subsequently loaned to the fellow Podgorica outfit with the stint stretching to three seasons.
Preparing to return to EuroCup, Aris signed 27-year-old Greek forward Nikos Persidis to a two-year contract. The team coached by Giannis Kastritis previously added Silvio De Sousa, Dimitris Katsivelis, and Ismael Sanogo.
Elsewhere, Veolia Towers Hamburg tabbed 26-year-old forward William Christmas. A huge jump for the Cal Poly Pomona alumni from playing in the lower divisions of Germany and Luxembourg.
Meanwhile, Turk Telekom confirmed parting ways with Tony Taylor.
