Joventut Badalona announced that the club matched Valencia‘s offer for guard Kyle Guy to retain the player’s rights in the Spanish ACB League.
Guy had accepted an offer by Valencia earlier in July and, according to ACB’s tanteo rules, Badalona had until 13/7 midnight to match it. The Catalan side did exactly that to secure the player for the upcoming season unless a proposal appears from a non-Spanish club.
In 2022-23, Guy, a former NCAA champion in 2019, averaged 11.8 points, 2.6 assists, 1.7 rebounds over 21 games in EuroCup as Badalona made the semifinals. In Spain, he posted 12.8 points, 2.1 assists, and 1.8 rebounds in 40 appearances.
