US center Marvin Jones is the latest acquisition of Buducnost VOLI from Podgorica, as officially confirmed by the club.
Jones joins Buducnost after a successful season with Hapoel Holon in Israel and the Basketball Champions League, where he averaged 9.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
“He is an experienced player with a diverse offensive skill set. He excels at finishing at the rim and has a reliable mid-range shot. Additionally, he is no stranger to shooting three-pointers, which adds versatility to our attack,” stated the announcement from the Montenegrin club.
Buducnost is undergoing significant roster changes for the upcoming season. They have already signed two domestic players, Andrija Slavkovic and Andrija Grbovic, and have also added Fletcher Magee, the former NCAA record-holder for the most career three-point field goals.
Jones has amassed valuable experience playing for various European teams, including Kolossos Rodou, Petrol Olimpija, Socar Petkimspor, Krka, Promitheas Patras, Peristeri, and PAOK Thessaloniki. Before joining Hapoel Holon, he also had a brief stint with Leones de Ponce in Puerto Rico.
