Following one season in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Tennessee product Kyle Alexander moved on from Valencia to join Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv and instead compete in the BKT EuroCup.
Alexander, 26, inked a one-year contract, his new team announced Wednesday.
The Canadian forward had a cup of tea with the Miami Heat during the 2019-20 season, before focusing on Spain. He spent a couple of seasons with Urbas Fuenlabrada from 2020 to 2022, before joining Valencia for the 2022-23 season. Averaging 5.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per contest over 59 appearances across all competitions described his stay at the Oranges.
In Israel, his new teammates will include Gil Beni, J’Covan Brown, Tomer Ginat, Eyal Harel, Xavier Munford, Bar Timor, and Idan Zalmanson, all set on the roster for head coach Danny Franco.
Shawn Jones joins Cedevita Olimpija, and more
Experienced forward/center Shawn Jones is the newest addition to Cedevita Olimpija. Sean Armand, Jaka Blazic, Sasa Ciani, Ziga Daneu, Zoran Dragic, Gregor Glas, Justus Hollatz, Jan Kosi, Damian Kruzynski, Karlo Matkovic, Edo Muric, Alen Omic, Rok Radovic, Luka Scuka, Alexander Shashkov, and Amadou Sow were already in for the team coached by Simone Pianigiani.
Coming out of NBA’s Summer League, Barry Brown Jr. returned to Europe and signed a deal with Neven Spahja’s Umana Reyer Venice. Jeff Brooks, Bruno Caboclo, Davide Casarin, Matteo Chillo, Andrea Di Nicolao, Alex O’Connell, Jordan Parks, Aamir Simms, Marco Spissu, Amedeo Tessitori, and Rayjon Tucker shape the rest of the current squad.
Moving his talents to Europe, 25-year-old forward L. J. Figueroa will play for Anton Gavel at ratiopharm Ulm. The easyCredit BBL champions previously signed 22-year-old center Trevion Williams and 16-year-old forward Noa Essengue.
Meanwhile, Joventut Badalona promoted 20-year-old Miguel Allen to a regular member of the senior team.
