As officially announced by BC Prometey Slobozhanske, the 23-year-old Ukrainian guard Issuf Sanon signed a one-year deal with the team after playing a first season with the EuroCup participant.

On 21 EuroCup appearances in the 2022-23 Regular Season and Playoffs, the 23-year-old Ukrainian guard put up 8.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game with the red-and-white team, shooting 58.8% from two.

Being selected with the No.44 overall pick by the Washington Wizards at the 2018 NBA Draft, Issuf Sanon never played in the NBA. Started his professional career with Dnipro in 2016, he then went on to play in Slovenia with Union and Cedevita Olimpija.

Before heading back to Ukraine, he also played in Lithuania with Šiauliai. The promising guard represented the Wizards at the Summer League, and his draft rights were then traded first to the New York Knicks and secondly to the Houston Rockets.

Prometey ended the 2022-23 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season in the 1st place in Group A with a 14-4 record, getting all the way to the Semifinals where the Ukrainian team eventually lost to Turk Telekom Ankara 76-74. In the Latvian–Estonian Basketball League, instead, Issuf Sanon helped Prometey win the championship.
