Joventut Badalona is signing center Chinanu Onuaku for the 2023-24 season, the club announced. The 26-year-old big man will remain in EuroCup and play in Spain for the first time in his career with his new team.

Onuaku averaged 10.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and a competition-high 1.5 blocks in the 2022-23 EuroCup with Hapoel Tel Aviv. He had 10.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists in the Israeli Winner League.

In 2022, Onuaku was named the Winner League MVP as a player of Bnei Herzilya, helping the club reach the Finals for the first time in its history.

The 37th overall pick of the 2016 Draft by the Houston Rockets, Onuaku appeared in just six NBA games with the team over two seasons. He moved to Europe in 2020 for Croatian side Zadar before signing in Israel with Herzilya.
