Gran Canaria signed center Ben Lammers to a one-year deal, the reigning EuroCup champion announced. He’s typically the replacement of Olek Balcerowski, who moves to Panathinaikos Athens.
Over the last three years, Lammers as playing for ALBA Berlin in Germany. In 2022-23, the 27-year-old American big man had 6.6 points plus 2.9 rebounds in the EuroLeague and 6.6 points plus 4.5 rebounds in the German BBL League.
Lammers is returning to Spain where he began his career with Bilbao in 2018 and played for two seasons before joining ALBA. With the German side, he won the back-to-back German League championship of 2021 and 2022, along with the German Cup in 2021.
