As officially announced by the club, Dreamland Gran Canaria officially added Roko Prkacin, one of the most intriguing European young players available and the second youngest debutant in the Croatian national team’s history.
In his first-ever year in the ACB with Aito Garcia Reneses’ Basquet Girona, alongside a legend like Marc Gasol, the 20-year-old big averaged 6.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per game, running for the award as best young player of the competition.
The Croatian talent arrives after the incorporation of Ethan Happ and Ben Lammers to reinforce Jaka Lakovic’s frontcourt. He previously played for KK Cibona, having his best season so far in the 2020-21 ABA League with 13.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game.
After winning the International competition in 2022-23 against Turk Telekom Ankara and deciding to forfeit the EuroLeague, Dreamland Gran Canaria will play once more in the BKT EuroCup. The reigning champions were drawn in Group B with Buducnost VOLI, ratiopharm Ulm, JL Bourg-en-Bresse, Turk Telekom, 7bet-Lietkabelis, Aris, Dolomiti Energia Trento, Slask Wroclaw, and U-BT Cluj-Napoca.
